YIMKHIUNG NAGAS: POLITY AND SOCIAL LIFE is a descriptive outline of what Yimkhiung tribe is all about. The traditional and cultural heritage together with their social, political and economic status manifest their uniqueness as a Naga tribe. The book provides an intellectual journey from the migration stories to the fabrics of social organization. British rule, Western education, Christianity and government policies have been influencing Yimkhiung Nagas in becoming what they are with a vivid difference from what they were. What is the thread of continuity from the past through the present? The intellectual quests lay the foundation for the content! The researching thrust, as a participant observer, adds worth to the book.
